Meet Michelle

Michelle is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who has worked in mental health for over 15 years. She has always had an interest in destigmatizing mental health disorders and treating them just like we would treat physical disorders.
She has experience working with patients of all ages. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she works with clients to prescribe and help manage medications. She specializes in the treatment of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar illness, grief and loss, and various life adjustment and transitioning concerns. She also has additional focused training and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders, and transitioning for different levels of psychiatric care that often requires medication consultation and management.
Although her primary focus is medication management she also has training in various therapeutic approaches to provide a more holistic approach in caring for her clients. In addition, her extensive nursing background helps her care for both the physical and spiritual well-being. Michelle believes that mental health issues should be approached and perceived in the same lens as a primary medical issue, and strives to erase the stigma that is often present with mental health overall.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities, cooking, and traveling.
A Message From Michelle:
“I have lifelong ties to the West and Pacific Northwest, as almost all of my mother’s side of the family reside there. I have made numerous annual trips since childhood, and moving out here has been a dream in the making. I enjoy the people, culture, and multitude of outdoor and recreational opportunities which all contribute to the lifestyle I want to live.
I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to both live here and work with Prisma who shares my practice philosophy and I look forward to helping you in the journey to improved health and wellness”
